About Coach

I’m a wife, mom, teacher and coach. I grew up in the South, mainly North Carolina and Georgia, and I’m a proud graduate of the UGA. GOOOOOO Dawgs! I love spending time with my family, reading good books, and watching college football and the Braves! My favorite movements in CrossFit are gymnastics because they make me feel like I’m still under 30, which I passed a long time ago.

Turning Point

I joined the CrossFit community about 10 years ago, and then became a coach in 2021. I grew up playing sports and went on to cheer at the collegiate level. That experience opened my eyes to real training! I had not prepared for the demands of what it took to perform at that level. Although I had always been an athlete, I had never trained to a degree that pushed me beyond my comfort zone or really beyond my limits. I was a natural athlete and had a plethora of skills and was good at a lot of them, but not great at any of them. Then, I found CrossFit. So many of the skills, movements, and concepts were familiar to me because I had played sports all my life. At CrossFit the workouts were empowering, and it was like I had a second chance to be an athlete, but this time an older and wiser athlete that knew how to train properly and fuel my body right. I love that I can do this as I get older and I don’t plan on quitting any time soon!

Motivation & Passion

What motivates me is the community. I love being a part of something that makes a difference. With coaching, I have the opportunity to work with kids and adults on their journeys to stay healthy and get strong. I think there is no better gift we can give to ourselves and our families, then to be in the best health possible.
